Dear Reader,
A while ago, I wrote about my love for Goop, but I focused this piece on the beauty side of the brand (and yes, to this day, Goop cosmetics makeup over 80% of my skincare routine).
In that blog, I touched briefly on the other parts of Goop I love so much: the podcast, the recipes, and of course, the fashion.
G. Label—that is, Goop’s clothing line—wows me with every new drop, and the latest is perhaps my most favorite yet.
Each launch holds an eye to the future and an ear to the past (my idea of “timeless”), and every piece feels practical yet beautiful for the multihypenated woman.
By multihypenated, I mean all women, including even the most pregnant of women (*I raise my hand*).
Recently, I received a generous gift from Goop that included styles from the latest G. Label collection. I am overjoyed and honored to share with you the pieces that I selected—pieces that I feel work for me now, at 9-months pregnant, but also later when I enter postpartum life.
Each piece is designed in collaboration with GP and is made in US or Italian factories. These are the same factories used by other designer brands, but Goop sells their pieces without the middleman mark-ups. Win.
If you’re pregnant, a fan of Goop, or simply itching to try some new G. Label, you may want to check out these beauties below.
xx Megan
MONDAY: The Hostess Dress
Pretty enough to host, yet easy enough to wear on a Monday — this linen blend dress requires zero thought. Personally, the less thought I have to put into an outfit, the better (I need my brain energy for other matters).
Comes with this belt situation to synch the waist. Do we like it with the bump, yes or no?
I love the natural linen color, the puff-sleeve and feminine feel, and overall ease of this beautiful dress.
TUESDAY: Essential Button Down & Shorty Boxer
My pregnancy MO can be summarized by elastic waistbands and oversized button-ups. For that reason, the Essential Button Down and Shorty Boxer seemed like no-brainer.
This button down is a bit more tailored in nature, so although I’m technically a size zero (when not pregnant), I decided to size up to a six for this fitted piece to work around my bump.
Definitely could have buttoned it all the way down here (it fits over my tummy fine), but y’know I love to strut a little bump with my new outtie belly button.
As for the boxer shorts, I sized up to a 2 (normally a 0 when not pregnant).
WEDNESDAY: It’s All Good Dress
I’m not one to choose favorites, but boys and girls—the It’s All Good Dress is my favorite.
Things I love here: the two textured cotton fabrics for a subtle patchwork effect, the oversized chest pockets, the roomy fit and flow, the exaggerated button down. It’s perfection.
Frankly, I am not sure I could have envisioned a more perfect dress for me at this stage in my life as a busy mom. Flies for literally any occasion, works great with or without a bump, and will be a staple when breastfeeding time comes around.
Where do I see this dress? Everywhere. Long walks, trips to the market, lunch alfresco—whatever’s on the docket.
THURSDAY: The Boy Tee
Who doesn’t love a classic striped tee? G. Label’s Boy Tee is made in Italy, is slightly slouchy with an oversized sleeve, and drapes like a dream with 100% cotton fabric.
Excited to tuck into denim when the time comes, but for now, I am pairing with drawstring linen pants. Similar to the other pieces, this guy is foolproof with endless staying potential.
FRIDAY: Boyfriend Dress
Lastly, lets talk about the G. Labels Boyfriend Dress.
Great for a Friday happy hour, a casual weekend, or even over a bathing suit (I see it fully unbuttoned with a wide brim hat — ow ow!).
Some may claim that a mini dress is danger zone when the bump gets this big. Consider me a risk-taker (though, I did size up twice for the babe).
Perhaps just me, but this dress brings similar greatness as the It’s All Good Dress (worn Wednesday) with it’s ease, button-down access (great for breastfeeding gals!), and tuxedo-like bib. Absolutely more boyish and a bit more flirty with its mini length, but just as classic and versatile.
Thank you, Goop, for making this final month of pregnancy a bit cuter!
Love your style Megan! Every time you post I admire that mirror over your bed - so gorgeous! I love Goop clothing....just wish the price point was a bit lower. It's fun to look at and I can certainly afford it, but I can't justify spending $165 for a striped tee or a $625 linen dress. Best of luck to you with your delivery!
