Dear Reader,
It’s Cancer season—the time when feelings surface and our emotional needs tug a little louder. Lately, I’ve been reconnecting with one of mine: play. The need to be silly, to laugh, to take myself a little less seriously.
While at the Fenimore Design Summit, I met some truly amazing people—the kind who’ve built beautiful things, who are successful by most definitions, the ones you might expect to be intimidating. And maybe a past version of me would have been. But I wasn’t. Because their energy wasn’t intimidating.
They were curious. Open. Receptive. Silly, even.
It struck me that this—this playful, expansive energy—might actually be part of the reason for their success. It’s not that they don’t take their work seriously; they do. But they do it with a lightness. A loving, curious heart. A willingness to stay open.
Because when we close ourselves, we shrink—personally and professionally. But when we ask the question (even if it might sound dumb), when we hit “publish” before something feels perfect, when we stay open instead of retreating—that’s when the magic happens.
So that’s where I am this season: staying open, asking questions, and making more room for joy.
Wishing you the best July.
xx Megan

10 THINGS I’M LOVING
FOR YOUR CLOSET
Pants with personality
Lately, I’ve been drawn to pants with a little funk. While antique shopping at Plain Goods, I found myself navigating towards their clothing section—specifically to swoon at this Sofie D’Hoore taffeta trouser and this Maku pant—both had that just-right mix of unusual fabric, clever cut, and thoughtful detail. Also on my radar: this taffeta pant by Chan Luu and this olive pant by ME+EM.
Toteme newness
Toteme’s been on a roll lately—case in point: this new tote with stitching that mirrors their cult-favorite scarf jacket. It may be the bag of the season.
Also worth your attention: the braided mules (so good), fresh T-Lock drops (I got this one), also—jewelry.
Gold Glimmers
Basically a neutral, to me, gold feels like a warm summer hue that goes with everything—and adds a subtle whisper of flair. I’ve been wearing my gold sandals weekly, but my friend Kristin snagged this pair in NYC at a friendlier price point (also love these by Aeyde).
FOR YOUR FACE (and BODY)
Something Peachy
Summertime is the only time I embrace sun-kissed peachy hues of blushes and lip stains. My favorite right now? This creamy blush by Beauty Pie in “Pêche Soie” and this lip balm in the color “Giumauve”.
Soft Services Green Banana Buffing Bar
A few months ago, I stored this bar of soap in my drawer, and recently rediscovered it in search for some bath time soap—and ohhhh my gawd. I love it. It has “micro crystals”, so it gently exfoliates. I chose the banana scent—it’s not sweet-banana, but light fresh banana. Exceptional bar soap that would make a lovely gift.
FOR YOUR SPACE
Underwater Weaving
Handcrafted by a mother-daughter duo, Underwater Weaving makes the most stunning baskets I’ve seen on the market. Erin—the daughter—might just be the coolest girl in town. Her energy is contagious: soulful, funny, full of feeling. The way she spoke about weaving felt almost poetic—about using her hands and the earth. It was truly beautiful. One of those brands you can’t help but want to support. I bought her stair basket (I am eyeing a striped tote too). She also offers kits, if you’re up for the challenge.Moro Dabron
The candle-and-fragrance brand has expanded into cloths, furniture, and lighting—and I couldn’t be more impressed (just look at this jute). Their aesthetic translates beautifully: sculptural, poetic, rooted in history. I just sent an inquiry for this lamp. Stunner.
Art!
Lately, I can’t stop thinking about one thing: art for my home. Art is deeply personal—it has to speak to you energetically—and it’s so specific to a space. So I’ve taken my time.
I just splurged on a painting from Wallflower Vintage on Etsy—she has the best curation (I almost went with these geraniums). I also can’t stop looking at woven framed pieces at Get the Gusto (just haven’t found the right spot yet), and I keep eyeing all pieces by
(here is her website).
FOR YOUR MIND & BODY
Arrae’s Clear Protein+
A couple weeks ago, Arrae’s Clear Protein+ landed in my mailbox, and I was so curious I tossed it in my water bottle right before heading to the gym. It tastes like a classic cranberry electrolyte—refreshing, slightly sweet—but with a surprising twist: 15g of protein. Think of it as a hydrating snack. Light, satisfying, and ideal for days when you don’t feel like a full shake but still want a little boost. My weighted vest
At my trainer’s suggestion, I started walking with a weighted vest—and I’m so glad I did. I went with the 16 lb. option, and it adds just enough challenge to get more out of every walk. Nothing extreme, just a smart little boost to tone. Michael has one too, so now we look like fools together.
Personality pants forever!
