Dear Reader,
Soon, we step into June—where Spring turns into Summer.
Month six. Halfway through the year already. How?
On the 25th, Quinn turns one; on the 28th, Kennedy turns three. Their birthdays remind me how much can change in a year—how quickly the seasons shift.
The days feel slow, but the years feel fast.
Truthfully, I want June to be slow. I want to soak in all its glory: the scent of peonies, the taste of ripe berries, the birdsong that greets us each morning.
I want to picnic. I want my skin to drink in the sun. I want light, flowing linen; makeup-free days; a vase of wildflowers (more on all this below).
I want to live like it’s Summer all year, really—so I have to take it all in while it’s here.
Here’s to embracing slowness this summer.
xx
Megan

10 THINGS I’M LOVING

FOR YOUR CLOSET
Summer Stripes
Not just a red or blue stripe—something with a little more personality. The Row launched this mesh striped bag that got me thinking twice (it reminded me of these inexpensive market bags). Then I saw Loro Piana’s Laguna striped tote—a bit more underplayed than The Row, but still fun. Chloe played along too.White Linen Pants
Both a linen drawstring and a linen trouser are necessary IMO. I can’t shut up about this linen trouser—it’s truly the best summer pant I’ve found. The rise, the pleat, the leg, everything. For a more affordable option, Everlane has a great alternative. For a drawstring, I still wear my Toteme linen pants from last spring (when I was 9 months pregnant). Ref makes an easy affordable option too.
Round Metal Sunglasses
If you find a photo of me wearing sunglasses, they’re round(ish) and metal. Doesn’t matter the year. These will always be my style of choice. Sadly, I lost my Celine’s while traveling—may reorder the same pair, but also love the simplicity of these by Oliver Peoples.
FOR YOUR FACE (and BODY)
RMS Suncoverup
You guys, I don’t wear cover-up—I think it makes my skin look worse—but I am obsessed with this Suncoverup. Technically, it’s a tinted moisturizer with SPF 50. So natural-looking—like your skin, but better—and actually protective. I wear the shade “ivory.” (Use MEGANK20 at RMS)Goop’s Newest Cleanser
Goop just launched a new foaming cleanser. Well, it’s more of a gel that turns into a foam—gentle enough for daily use, with a light, refreshing scent. This is the kind of cleanser I think anyone could love. (Use MEGAN15 at goop)
FOR YOUR SPACE
Charming Picnic Basket
This June, I’m going all out with the picnic scene with my kids. Business & Pleasure sent me this foldable table and picnic set. I also love Sussex Willow Baskets for picnics. They’re charming, timeless, wall-made—feels like a classic heirloom to be saved for loved ones.Statement Vase
For all the floral this season, of course. Debating between a few: Sharland England’s Verona vase (which color, though?), this by Astier, or Frances Palmer’s Summer vase. One of these will make my birthday wishlist (July babe here).
Linen-Like Guest Towels
Starting in June, I find myself wanting to host more—especially on the patio. For a recent get-together, I set out this raffia tray that comes with the sweetest linen-like towels. It added just the right touch of charm. Even if you’re not hosting, it’s an easy, beautiful detail to make any space feel a little more thoughtful (a powder room, a dining table, a kitchen countertop, etc.).
FOR YOUR MIND & BODY
Sakara’s Metabolism Super Powder
Sakara improved their chocolate metabolism boost powder—and it’s legit hot chocolate, made healthier. My biggest takeaway? It curbs cravings. It’s the perfect way to cap off a meal—like dessert, but with the added benefit of keeping your blood sugar steady. No spike, no crash. Next up: trying it in their coconut ice cream recipe—can’t wait.Starting The Day Outside
Now that it’s finally warm, I’ve been starting my mornings outside. I wake up early, sit by the fire pit—no phone—sip my coffee, listen to the birds, and watch the sun rise. Sometimes I add a mindful journal prompt too. It sets a momentum for a calmer, better day. Highly recommend.
