10 Things for March
Better-than-naked beauty, beach attire, a spring-forward coffee table book, plus my rebrand.
Dear Reader,
Welcome to my newly rebranded Substack, This Part of Me.
Years ago, I published a little audio diary (basically a mini podcast) and called it This Part of Me. Now that it’s found a home here, it felt right to weave that theme into this space as a whole.
Allow me to give some context to this title.
Over the years, I’ve had countless conversations with fellow influencers about the boxes we feel trapped in as “fashion bloggers.”
Behind every “Spring roundup” is a whole person—full of ideas, depth, and creativity. I’ve been lucky enough to see that side of so many content creators, to connect beyond the outfits, and to dive into the fascinating workings of their minds.
When people ask what I do, I often hesitate to explain. “Influencer” doesn’t sit right, but “content creator” tends to confuse people further.
“I work with brands,” I sometimes say—mostly in attempt to end the discussion. “You know, on Instagram and stuff.”
While all the above may be true, there’s more I want to offer. My style is only one piece me.
Online, I saw an image that captures what my words may not:
A part of me adores a beautifully curated mood board and a perfectly edited post. But another part longs for the raw, unfiltered expression in an audio diary (the place where I spill thoughts on well-being, motherhood, life).
My Substack is where both sides meet—the polished and the messy.
When I told my friend Ali about branding This Part of Me, I said I wanted it to feel like a handwritten note to a friend—personal, honest, real. But I also wanted it to feel intentional. Distinct. Thoughtfully designed.
After weeks of gathering and sharing illustrations, typography, and other visual inspiration, we landed here:
An imperfect, aged envelope felt honest—like something real, something kept. The no-fuss font felt simple yet elevated, a nod to my personal style. The overall image feels less like a digital newsletter, and more like a personal invitation.
Just as an envelope opens to reveal new messages, I keep unfolding discoveries to share with you. Fashion discoveries, of course, but also self-discoveries. Lessons.
With each lesson, a new part of me takes shape. And when it feels right, I share that part with you.
Thank you for being here—for witnessing the ever-evolving pieces that make me, me.
xx Megan

10 THINGS
WEARABLE
Garden Clogs
Weeks ago, I shared my Garden Heir garden clogs a few weeks ago. Ever since, I’ve gotten several DM’s and tags by readers sporting their clogs. Since I wear mine so much (ironically, on the street—not in my garden), I think I may get this sleeker style as well. SeaVees also makes a nice pair.
Pareos
I keep my swimwear really simple, design and color wise. If I want to add character, I wrap a special pareo around my waist (also called a “sarong”). In Florida, I wore my Joanna Oritzs pareo. If you’re looking for beach attire, see my shop.
Creamy Clutches
When I’m not hauling my life in a big tote, I transfer my key essentials to a tiny clutch to wear for quick errands or an evening out. You know I love creamy tones, especially right now. The Row’s new Mira in “Tuscan” made me gasp, and I love this suede option by Khaite.
BEAUTY
Reflekt Daily Exfoliating Face Wash
Not kidding, I have to hide this face wash from Michael. It’s so good, it’ll even win over the males in your life that don’t think twice about skincare.
Typology No-Makeup Makeup
If you’re into French girl beauty (who isn’t?), do yourself a favor and explore Typology. The “tinted” line describes itself to be as tinted skincare. Similar to a nude polish, it feels like sheer beauty—a better-than-naked line. I love their tinted balm in “Rosewood”, tinted serum (I’m shade 2), and this concealer.
The Best Bronzer I’ve Ever Tried
Come Spring, I add a touch of bronzer. But bronzer is tricky. It’s either too shimmery, too orange, too fake. This one, though—it’s PERFECT. I got “Beachwalk Betty,” the lightest shade, and it’s *just enough*.
HOME
Indoor Garden
Excited to garden but the climate wont cooperate? Do a little indoor herb garden. I place a variety of herbs in terracotta pots. Purposeful bits of green in the kitchen make me happy. Some terracotta planters I love: these roped ones, this floral one, and this simple rustic set.
Coffee Table Books
I ordered this beautiful set of coffee table books that felt like spring. Even if you don’t read, the covers are pretty enough.
WELLNESS
Linné Bath Soak
Rarely do I find a brand that totally changes my world, but Linne did. I love everything I’ve tried ( I use it on my kids too). For now, let me recommend their small batch bath soak. Love to use it at night to help soothe/relax/release the tension stored throughout the day. (MEGANK10 at Linné)
Jia Jia Stones
Sometimes I’m asked where I get my meditation stones. Honestly, all over (mostly in local shops) but I would absolutely guide anyone to Jia Jia if they're in the market. I have their rose quartz. It’s so elegant, and it came boxed like jewelry with a descriptive card inside that shares the significance of the stone. (Use Megan20 for a discount)
Until next time!
