10 Things For March
Washed fabrics, vintage finds, special linens — and other small ways to bring spring closer.
Dear Reader,
Spring technically arrives this month, but it’s been occupying my mind for a while now.
In eight days, my spring children’s collection launches — so the essence of spring has been sitting front-row in my thoughts. Light fabrics, softer colors, the feeling of fresh air… I’ve been holding onto all of it, even while shoveling my way through February.
And we’re almost there. Truly, I’ve never been more excited for something to go live (my collection, yes — but also the season itself).
Where I live, it will still look like winter for a bit, but I’ve started easing into the small things that make spring feel close. A cleaner scent. Lighter fabrics. A cracked window that’s slightly too cold but still worth it.
Below, a few things helping me live in the in-between — that quiet stretch where it’s technically winter, but every part of you is already leaning toward spring.
xx Megan

10 THINGS I’M LOVING

FOR YOUR CLOSET
1. Attersee’s “Washed” Series
This washed canvas jacket. And utility trousers (with this washed silk top). And bag. All of it. When something’s “washed,” it basically means the fabric took a tiny spa day so it can show up softer, slouchier, and more effortless — like you’ve owned it for years, just better.
2. Woven bags
March is when my woven pieces come back out to play. Have you seen The Row’s latest raffia? Also, their Estelle — which I got two years ago in brown — now comes in a larger size, which my mom-eyes deeply appreciate. Honestly though — I am into the idea of this Underwatering Weaving becoming an everyday tote. Otherwise, Dragon Diffusion is always a forever yes.
3. Creamy ballerinas
Frankly, I wear my ballerinas in winter too — but I can read a room. Come March, the judgment eases. Mytheresa graciously gifted me these ballerinas (my favorite style — I own four pairs in different fabrics/colors), but here are some friendlier-priced alternatives I love: Jamie Haller (closest fit/feel to mine), Soeur, Le Monde Beryl, and Yuni Buffa.
FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL HEAD (AND BODY)
4. New Drop: Westman Atelier Hydrobalm Lipstick
No surprise here: if I could only keep one makeup product forever, it would be a good tinted balm. And because Westman has never missed, I instant-purchased the new Hydrobalm the moment it dropped. Confirmed: the English Rose shade is my favorite.
5. ZO Skin Health Exfoliation Cleanser
Cleansers rarely thrill me — this one genuinely does. It was gifted, and I only opened it because I’d just run out of my usual cleanser (otherwise it would still be living in the gifted pile). But wow. You need barely a pea-size amount. It’s gel-like, lightly exfoliating, smells like a spa, and leaves my skin feeling ridiculously clean without stripping. A must-try.
FOR YOUR HOME
6. Diamond-stitched linens
Fresh linens for a fresh season. I can’t stop thinking about Volga’s diamond-stitched bedding (also love this found at Moda). A friend recently had her daughters’ names embroidered onto small pillows — such a thoughtful, quiet detail for your own home or for gifting.
7. Just Andersen
I have Etsy gift cards to use, and my cart is currently full of vintage Just Andersen pewter — a vase, candlesticks, and a sculptural vessel I keep returning to. His pieces are lightly moody, minimal, and look like they hold a story.
8. Duck, duck, goose
Maybe it’s spring approaching, but I’m suddenly drawn to small creature moments in the home. It started with horses… now it’s ducks. I’m obsessed with this vintage duck object (very Rose Tarlow), this brass duck trinket, and my iron duck doorstop (two for a better price on eBay). Tiny,
slightly whimsical pieces that add personality without leaning kitschy.
FOR A HEALTHY MIND/BODY
9. My current favorite way to move
A slow incline walk with a weighted vest — 12.5 incline, speed 3, 15 pounds. Shockingly effective. I break a full sweat without breaking my hair. The dream.
10. Farmer Jerky
I’ve fallen deep into my Ballerina Farm era. (Ninth baby on the way — the woman is a phenomenon.) Their “Farmer Jerky” has become my go-to. I don’t identify as a jerky person — in fact, I’ve spent most of my life avoiding it — but this one is clean, genuinely good, and an easy way to get more protein in. And truly, who among us couldn’t use a little more protein?

the westman atelier contour stick is the GOAT so i need to try this hydrobalm...and i love that their stuff is super clean and nontoxic. big bonus. thank you for sharing!
