Before It’s Public: My First Samples for Dillard’s
Exclusive images, insider notes, and the designs that didn’t make the cut.
Dear Reader,
Last week, I flew to Atlanta to see the very first samples from my children’s line—arriving in stores this February.
I wasn’t sure what to expect. (Though, if you know me, you know my standards for clothing are… high.)
This line needed to be beautiful, yes—but also accessible. Where quality and affordability could live in the same garment. That balance is rare, but we did it.
When I walked into the showroom, everything else fell away. My world went quiet. There they were: my hand-drawn designs, standing in front of me in the flesh. The visions I’d sketched on paper were now real.
Most influencer collaborations guard their samples like state secrets. The Dillard’s team? The opposite. They told me, “Share whatever, whenever, in whatever way feels best to you.” Which means you—my paid subscribers—get to see them before anyone else.
What’s coming is part heirloom, part playful, part sophisticated: ivories, soft blues, sunny yellows, mossy greens. Sophisticated stripes. Timeless florals. Antique-inspired block prints.
Below, a first look—before it’s public—plus a peek at the pieces that didn’t make the cut.
