Dear Reader,

If something matters, you have to make time for it. Not hope it happens. Not squeeze it in between other people’s priorities.

For me, the thing that matters most is my wellbeing. My peace. And the only time I reliably get to myself is before the sun comes up.

Months ago, I talked about this with my friend,

And just to be clear—I wasn’t raised this way.
My family wasn’t exactly the early-morning type. If anything, we all loved a good sleep-in.
No one modeled mindful rituals for me. I built them myself, from scratch.

Because I needed a way to meet myself. To care for myself. To come home to myself.
