Luteal Phase Shopping
Because sometimes we just want to shop.
Dear Reader,
It’s that time in my cycle where writing more than a sentence feels like a lot, but browsing beautiful things? Endless energy.
If you get it, you get it. (And with nearly 7,000 women reading this, I know you get it.)
So whether you’re in that phase of your cycle, that phase of life, or just here for the eye candy — I’ve got finds. Some have earned permanent residence in my home, closet, and beauty routine. Others have been lingering in my cart.
Let’s get into it.
Square lace doily — to put under a vase, a candle, a bowl.
Silver tea & coffee set — be the hostess with the mostest, or just enjoy solo.
Josh Young x Williams Sonoma Home Wallis lamp — I have two on my bedside and adore doesn't cover it.
Jake Arnold x Lulu and Georgia Havenhurst rug — it’s been in our primary bedroom for years and I would rebuy it over and over again.
1930s beveled mirror — I own several like this (timeless).
Original oil painting — I have never regretted the original art I buy on Etsy.
French art deco chrome sconces — could go anywhere.
Slipcover dining chairs — also using as my desk chair as I type this (another item I’d buy 10x over).
Astier de Villatte tuscan candle — the vessel is what’s calling me, but honestly, all Astier scents are completely out of this world.
Vintage Spanish writing desk — in the market for something like this, and maybe you are too?
Bunny Williams pleated shade — I just got two of these and they’re even more lovely in the flesh.
Set of six 1960s French chairs — look good at any table (or even standing alone).
Saffron brown pedestal bowl — a Wayfair win.
Woven armchair — my friend just got this and my mouth dropped (incred craftsmanship).
Placemats — I bought similar placemats from Plain Goods, but these are arguably more special.
Still life painting — I see it in a kitchen.
Spanish mirror — a good shape/color.
Vintage shell-shaped glass sconces — very sweet.
Great Florals lamp — these are mine (aren’t they gorgeous?) and I couldn’t recommend Ellen enough for a custom project.
Vintage pillow — injects life into ordinary upholstery moments.
Khaite top — I gasp every time I see it.
Silver maxi dress — elegance defined.
Judith Leiber woven clutch — it’s the color, the clasp, the weave.
Sophie Buhai earrings — easy enough for daytime, refined enough for evening.
Janessa Leoné jute + cotton tote — great for moms without feeling too mom-coded.
Vehla sunglasses — currently in transit.
Canvas bucket hat — the size of the brim is perfection.
Gwyn Shorts — also en route to me (MEGAN15).
Suede mules — end-of-summer into fall vibes (but no, I’m not ready to talk about fall).
Kallmeyer top — and I might as well link the skirt too.
Lorna Murray hat — just enough fun for the sun.
Christopher Esber sandals — when everyone has the jelly version, go woven.
Woven bucket bag — never seen anything like it.
Nili Lotan Shon pant — my most worn pant, season-to-season.
Dôen Solina top — just arrived in the mail, and I love how it balances femininity and simplicity.
Toteme shades — may be turning into a big sunglasses girl… maybe.
TWP jacket — currently in my cart.
Goop Beauty Vitamin C — it’s honestly the only one I’ve ever adored.
Goop Beauty Face cream — particularly love it for nighttime.
Biologique Lotion P50 — this has changed my skin (I use it nightly).
Prinsesstårta Milk Bar Soap — Flamingo Estate nailed this one. It feels almost creamy and smells amazing.
Susan Kaufmann Day Cream — best for daytime, hence the name. (MEGAN20)
Natura Bissē diamond cocoon sheer eye cream — I’ll never shut up about this eye cream (think concealer meets eye cream).
Lip Filler — no injections needed (a new favorite). I use it AM and PM, like skincare.
AlphaRet Overnight Cream — the only retinol I’ve ever liked.
ColorScience Sunforgettable SPF50 — your skin, but better. I use fair.
Westman Atelier Bronzing Drops — so natural, both in formula and appearance (I wear Soleil Parfait 1).
Saie Bronzer in Amalfi — another one I love for summer, if you prefer a powder.
Victoria Beckham highlighter — just started using this and it’s so pretty.
Merit lip liner — I use “beverly hills” and it’s my favorite of all the 50+ I’ve tried.
RMS UnCover Up — loyal user for 10+ years. (MEGAN20)
Westman Atelier Hydrobalm — I have Pop and English Rose, love both.
Fara Homidi Lip Compact — always and forever in my bag (I wear Nude 1).
Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift — makes the biggest difference for brighter eyes.
The Yves Durif travel hairbrush — I just got this and it’s a small but mighty powerhouse brush.
Rodial blush drops — a gifted PR item that actually had me coming back for more (I have “frosted pink”).
If you ever want to see what I’m up to when it comes to shopping — see my ShopMy.
It’s particularly active in my luteal phase.
xx Megan
