Dear Reader,
Perhaps this sounds odd, but for me, the most challenging aspect of pregnancy is putting on clothes that make me feel like myself.
I’m a denim girl through-and-through, and I long for the days when I can fit into my Khaite denim again. Until then, I have to find comfortable pieces that will move with me as my body expands.
Thank God, I found DONNI.
I learned about DONNI. years ago, through very non-pregnant influencers. Although the brand doesn't necessarily target pregnant gals, I swear, this label is going to throw pregnancy brands into predicament.
So no, it’s not a brand for baby bellies, but in my humble opinion, it is *the brand* for baby bellies, if you know what I mean.
With the range of comfortable pieces they carry—from elastic-waisted silk pants, to Terry joggers, to poplin striped pants—there’s a style for everyone, regardless of tummy size.
DONNI. was kind enough to send me a few pieces, and I couldn’t be more excited to share these with you below.
xx Megan
Allow me to begin with the Rib Kick Flare, which I am wearing here in “Jet” (AKA, black) in a size small (I sized up to a small in all pants for pregnancy). I paired these flares with the DONNI. Sweater Rib Button Down in Crème in size medium. Def could have done a small, but a medium was the only size left and I am here for larger-than-life comfort.

Let me say: it would be a disservice to compare The Rib Kick Flare to leggings. These pants have a much more substantial ribbed fabric. Also love the ankle-length mini flare to show off your coolest boots or sneakers (my coolest atm: The Row zip).
Next, let’s talk about the Pop Pant. DONNI took your favorite poplin button-up shirt and made it into pants without the buttons, and instead, with a draw-string and a wide leg. I love a navy stripe button-down shirt, so naturally, I took the Pop Pants in a navy stripe in a size small.
Also, I’d like to note how DONNI. isn’t stringy on the drawstring. Their drawstrings are as much a statement as they are practical, made with a heavy ivory material (love it paired with an ivory knit).
Next, the Eco Terry Sweatpants, which I got in “Espresso” in a size small (so into brown earthy tone lately). Paired it with the DONNI. Pop Button Down in “Powder” in a size Small.

The Terry Sweatpants have an elastic waistband with a draw-string, a cuffed ankle that runs slightly long for a relaxed fit, much appreciated pockets, and a heavy terry fabric that feels appropriate for any season.
Of course, sweatpants looks cool with sneakers — but I am partial to a sweat paired with a loafer or a pretty ballet flat, as I’ve shared numerous times.
Lastly, I want to mention two things I’ve been drawn towards lately: one, the silky/satiny pants I’ve seen sprinkled around the Internet lately, and second, a good mushroom colorway (side note: strongly considering painting our kitchen a good shroom color).

Lo and behold, I stumbled upon DONNI’s Silky Simple Pant in Mushroom — fate! These also have an elastic waistband and a full leg that will carry me through pregnancy and beyond.
Above, I created a more causal look with the silk pants, but this same look could be easily elevated by removing the ball cap, replacing my loafers with a heel, and putting on a pretty earring. Easy.
I suppose that is DONNI.’s bio on IG: “easy to wear, hard to take off.”
Will be living in all these pieces throughout pregnancy and beyond. Thank you, DONNI.!
I’m a huge fan of Donni’s kick flares — and think the pop pants are my next purchase.
