What I Wore At the Fenimore Lane Design Summit
From a VIP dinner to antique shopping to room service pajama parties
Dear Reader,
I just rolled in from the Fenimore Lane Design Summit—heart full, suitcase heavier, mind buzzing with ideas.
My friend (and true visionary)
spent a full year bringing this weekend to life, and it showed in every square inch. The setting, the details, the way each space unfolded—it was breathtaking. But what truly stood out was her gift for connection: gathering some of the most thoughtful designers and exceptional vendors into a setting that felt both inspiring and deeply welcoming. There was a beautifully set dinner, sun-drenched garden walks, thought-provoking panels, and conversations that left an impression.
I could write paragraphs on the magic of it all (and likely will—mark your calendar for next year), but first, a promise is a promise: the packing list.
Confession: I stressed a little over what to wear. It’s no small thing, dressing for a crowd with impeccable taste. I went slightly off-script—sleeker silhouettes, soft florals, a touch of metallic—paired with plenty of tried-and-true Megan staples I’d wear on a random Tuesday. All of it is linked below.
One quick note before we get to the clothes: the fact that weekends like this are part of my work—just because I share what I love—will never stop feeling extraordinary.
Now—onto the looks.
Friday Travel Day: Cool Girl (in Transit)
I was channeling “cool girl New York” when packing for travel—especially since we landed before check-in and had to roll straight into the day.
Nili Lotan pants, a trusted baby tee, Row thong sandals (quietly chic, surprisingly comfortable), a paracord bracelet (paracords for summer, folks).
Really, though? I like my bags do the talking. Toteme’s new tote came as my carry-on—the stitching echoes their iconic scarf jacket—and I used the woven T-Lock bag as my crossbody. I’m a two-bag person. Each holds its purpose.

Saturday Travel Day, Take Two (Pittsburgh to NYC)
If you read my last post, you know I was rerouted through Pittsburgh. Which meant a second travel outfit: Róhe bermudas and an oversized black tank. Same bags, same sandals. Still on theme.
VIP Dinner: Feminine Structures
For the opening VIP dinner hosted by Serena & Lily, I wore my most feminine pieces: a peplum top and skirt set from Rosewater House. Romantic, structured, sculptural.
Paired with: my favorite gold sandals (truly, most worn of the season) and this woven box clutch.
I almost packed this Agua dress, which was my runner-up choice! Beyond beautiful.
Oh, failed to mention: I wore these Dorsey earrings every day.
Saturday Panels & Shopping: Classic Poplin
I wore a Rebecca Taylor poplin dress—crisp, flattering, and a bit interesting with a wrap waist. The kind of piece that works for anything, but still feels special.
Paired it with my Khaite clogs (a personal splurge).
And in a very unplanned but charming turn of events, Emily, Kristin, and I all ended up buying Kinder Brooke’s basket bag at the event. By the end of the day, nearly everyone had one on their arm. Jane Birkin would be proud. (She’s since sold out, but you can join the waitlist here.)
Saturday Evening: Okay, Maybe This Was My Favorite
I changed into a striped Ralph Lauren dress to freshen up for dinner and evening hangs. I am in love with this one (and got about a dozen compliments on it).
Sunday: Sculptural Ease
I wore my trusty Róhe dress—sculptural, unfussy, sophisticated—for a morning of print-making, a bit more shopping, and one of my favorite panels of the weekend.
The conversation was rich, thanks to a lineup of bright, curious minds:

Nights: Room Service & Lake Pajamas
Every night ended in our Lake PJs, eating fries in bed. Felt like high school in the best way.
Monday Travel Home: Back to Basics
A.L.C. linen trousers, a baby tee by Frame, an old Toteme denim jacket, the Row sandals, and my trusty Toteme bags.
An easy landing.
Megan, this is so beautifully written and makes me so happy, thank you so much for joining us and for your incredibly kind words about the summit! It was such a joy to have you there! <3 xxx AO
Ohh I want One Wednesday there next year! Loved all these looks.
