Dear Reader,
I’m back for a My Week, Linked — it’s been a minute since I’ve published one of these.
For a while, I was too pregnant (and somewhat uninspired) to share what I wear.
Now, I’m feeling more myself with zip-up pants, bodysuits, belts — the things a growing uterus cannot suffice.
I’ve found this series works as a little visual diary for my weekly closet pickings. Sometimes, I’ll look back at a My Week, Linked from last year (when I started Substack) and I’ll think: oh, yes, that piece is SO GOOD.
In a way, these “diary entries” are validating — they portray a consistent, true style. Familiar themes of being ready-to-wear, non-fussy, but elevated.
Truthfully, with all my mental chatter, I want to put the least amount of thought into my outfit. Like my workouts, like my recipes, like my home — I want my clothing to feel natural and simple, yet beautiful.
In any event, I thought I’d jump back into this, so long as it brings value to my readers (and for myself).
Here is this week’s peak into my wardrobe diary.
With all the links, of course.
xx Megan
I recently did a Q+A with a fellow blogger, and she asked me: if I could choose one outfit for the rest of my life, what would it be? Below is my answer.
(Technically I wore this the week prior, but got so many questions I thought I’d include here.)
Next, a date night look, made easy by Eidyllia.
Eidyllia is a new-to-me brand — one I wish I’d known about sooner. Beautiful garments (actually made in the same factory as The Row in NYC) at a kind price-point. This mini dress surpassed all my expectations.

In other news, Jamie Haller launched new pants and they’re fantastic — quality, style details, and fit. Other brands could (and would) charge at least double for a pant like this. These were gifted, but I am buying the other colors.

Another pant launch: Citizens of Humanity Lyra wide leg. Full transparency, I’m not a big stretch denim girl (I like raw, rigid) but the slight stretch in this particular silhouette works well for a girl like me.
For a cooler morning, I turned this look into Canadian tux. In case you’re looking for a denim jacket with a cashmere blend (what?), here you go by The Row.

Vincent James sent me some goodies (more on my love of that brand here), and this linen dress is one of my favorites from her collection. Universally flattering, I’d argue.
Dorsey launched a new “petite” version of my ever favorite Crawfords. So light and wearable. Also, these go with anything. Of course they fly formally, but I almost prefer them with a white tee and denim. There’s something about a blingy-casual contrast of which I’m quite fond.
We’ve had some heat warnings lately. When in doubt, a good tank and flowy poplin skirt. I also wore this skirt when I was in my third trimester. It's one of those pieces that just works for anyone and any body.
The end!
Beautiful effortless end of summer style!
